New in v4.4

Announce rate now visible from the list. In v4.3 you had to open a node to see how often it announces. Now the announce counter in the side list carries the same colour: green healthy, yellow chatty, red flooding - so you can see who behaves at a glance, without opening nodes one by one. A node too new to have a measured rate shows green: it is assumed to behave, and turns red on its own once there is enough data to say otherwise.

Flooding no longer buys the top spot. Nodes in red are now listed below all green and yellow ones. The old order rewarded noise: the more you announced, the higher you climbed. Nothing is hidden and nothing is filtered - every node is still there and all announces still arrive live - they just no longer sit in front of the nodes that behave.

RNS 1.5.4 fields have names. The two new fields a node announces about itself used to show up as field 253 and field 252. They are the software and its version, and each popup now reads them as one line - Running: RNS 1.5.4.

Next release: automatic removal from the map for nodes that keep flooding. Please keep your announce interval sane.

Also in v4.3

Map protocol aligned to RNS 1.5.0: node fields now follow the official Reticulum discovery keys, so what you see is what the protocol actually announces. This adds the IFAC network name and passphrase, modulation and channel, and the new operator LXMF address, while fixing several fields that were previously shown under the wrong label. Copyable configs now match the ones Reticulum itself generates.
Every node popup now also shows its announce rate, measured over its most recent announces: green is a healthy node, yellow is chatty, red means it is flooding the network and is a candidate for blacklisting. Please keep your announce interval sane.
The rmap TCP server is running on RNS 1.5.0.

New selectable basemaps (OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap Liberty & Dark, satellite): the previous ones were dropped after some providers introduced API-key limits. Plus faster loading, live-synced node counters, and automatic blacklisting of malformed / announce-spamming nodes. The integrated web flasher is still one click away.

Network moderation

Malformed nodes and nodes that flood the network with announces will be blacklisted without notice: removed from this map and blackholed on the RMAP Reticulum transport node. Please configure your node correctly and keep announce rates sane, out of respect for the network and its users.
